Obesity Problem

by admin on February 20, 2012

Obesity is such a big problem in the United States. It seems like over 30% of the country is obese. So what is the solution for obesity? In my opinion it’s whole natural foods.
If people would just stop eating processed foods and switch to whole natural foods the obesity problem will be solved. It’s almost impossible to be overweight if you’re eating all-natural foods.

The problem is most people don’t realize what processed foods are.
The obvious processed foods people know like cookies, cakes and chicken nuggets. But a bagel is a processed food. Made up of wheat, sugar and salt. It’s been altered from its natural state. Natural foods have not been altered in any way. They are still in their whole form. An Apple is a natural food but Apple pie obviously isn’t.

We have to start making better food decisions. We all have to eat multiple servings of vegetables everyday. When choosing vegetables make sure you pick a variety of colors. Different colored vegetables have different vitamins and minerals. Don’t just eat green vegetables all the time. Have yellow, orange red and green. We also need to eat 2 fruits everyday. Once again pick a variety of colors when choosing your fruits. We also need to have lean proteins like chicken, fish and meat.

Eating healthy is not easy in the United States. There is fast food wherever you go. Sometimes you can walk into a deli and only see-processed foods. What you have to do is take the time and prepare your meals ahead of time. Bring a healthy lunch to work or find supermarkets and health food stores that carry mostly whole natural foods.

I hope this article helps you eat healthy.

P.S. I don't really like recommending other people's products on my website, but I thought I'd make an exception this time. It is a line of supplements known as Prograde Nutrition, and they are offering very reasonable pricing for such high quality.
